Our own Wolfgang has just found out that Apple has approved his new iPhone game, Dashball. Congrats, Wolfgang!

Scott and I just bought copies of it and we got addicted to it right away. I think that Wolfgang’s going to have a nice hit on his hands.

For years, Wolfgang’s been working with others as a hired gun to help them realize their software dream. And now he has his first project where he’s his own boss. I’m sure he must feel great to have this finally out because I know it’s been stuck in the “waiting for approval” line for a while.

But does this mean that this is the end for Wolfgang at tap tap tap. Hell no! He’s still hard at work on our designs so no worries.

Check it out:

Tip: Turn off the default accelerometer control and use the touch controls.

I’m really enjoying Dashball, I think it’s a really clever spin on Breakout. Although I still can’t beat the first level.

I have a total love/hate relationship with this game! I bought it over the weekend and couldn’t stop playing it. I’m not a huge “gamer”, so I was surprised how fast I became addicted to it. The graphics are awesome and each level presents a new challenge that simultaneously frustrates me (when I can’t figure it out) and delights me (when I finally do). I made it to level 11 where I’m now stuck yet again, but having fun trying to figure it out.

BTW - the tip on turning off the accelerometer made all the difference.

    Great work Wolfgang!

That’s nice to hear :) And yeah, turning off the accelerometer makes the game much easier. I guess we will disable it by default in the next update.

Thanks for the tip! I was totally struggling with the accelerometer on :)
