Many of you have been following along over the past several months about the acquisition of our former app, Where To, by FutureTap. Today, Ortwin Gentz from FutureTap posted about the resolution on it regarding the final transfer of ownership. It’s definitely not the route he would’ve liked to have taken, but he was left with few options. Read into this however you wish, but I just want to put the final nail in this coffin by saying that some things never change.

Anyway, I wish Ortwin the best with Where To and I’m really looking forward to the integrated maps feature that he’s working on that’ll soon be available in version 2. It’s great that Apple finally provided this functionality in iPhone OS 3.0.
